A Secret Song for a Girl

Almost every single time, this happens . . .
She looked at me with those somber eyes,
Enlightening my heart with fire.
Cause every time, I look up at the skies,
Roaring thunders fill me with desire
Even when I know I can never be with her,
The sadness only increases my want to kiss her.
Singing seems to do nothing for this girl.
Our conversations ignite no spark.
Nothing seems to work with her, or even start to purl,
Going nowhere, feeling in the dark.
For even when she’s with someone else,
Only then, and never again,
Revealing herself to everyone else,
All except for me.
Going on I go, day by day and night by night,
I cry and moan for her tender love.
Ready to fight the never-ending fight,
Lonely as I am, I’ll wait for her, ‘til the days I’m in the skies above.

Hey everybody! Don't mind me, I was just testing the literature ability of this site. I plan on entering 
's Fanfic contest. So, before I post my entry-- which I worked on and completed in 7 HOURS yesterday!
-- I thought I'd just get a feel for submitting literature. 
Now, with that out of the way, time to talk about this poem. It was written by none other than, your truly
. I wrote it last year for a girl, who was way out of my league. We were going to start dating, but, some rich guy got a hold of her. 
Things soon got awkward, so I wrote many poems about how I felt. This is one of them. That was really the only positive thing that came out of that dilemma.
But, that's all water under the bridge now. But, just for the record, he dumped her after a short while.
Hope you guys like it. My 1st, and definitely not my last, literature submission. Hey, I might just submit more of my poems.
